Last week I enjoyed one of the finest days classic rock climbing of my life. I went to Tophet Wall and the Napes on Great Gable with Dave Neville.
We climbed Tophet Wall (Hard Severe 4a), Eagle’s Nest Ridge Direct (Mild Very Severe 4a), The Wasdale Crack on the Napes Needle (Hard Severe 4b), and Needle Ridge (Very Difficult), finishing on the summit of Great Gable ready for an easy walk over Green Gable and back down to Seathwaite in Borrowdale via Gillercombe.
