A long weekend away in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We’re staying in Kettlewell, and generally having a relaxing time. A bit of dog walking here and there, and a fair amount of beer drinking and pub food eating. Nice to have a break mid-winter season.

Today we started out on what should have been a half-hour dog walk up Dowber Gill from Kettlewell. Well, we got a bit carried away and ended up right at the head of this lovely valley at Providence Pot, then up onto the western flank of Great Whernside at Hagdyke before a stroll back through the meadows to Kettlewell. A lovely couple of hours jaunt.
